Had a lovely Mother’s Day meal at the Hudson House Inn, right across the water in Cold Spring. The view was beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was great. The pear salad and the rich, delicious chocolate cake were the highlights of my meal. A perfect spot for a special occasion!
Hotel is awesome- quiet yet next to the plaza overlooking the river. Food, service, quality are all excellent. Mike’s a great host and Debra rocked it as a true mixologist in the bar. Friendly, knowledgeable about the area. We loved our stay.
There is a reason we keep going back! The location, the menu, the chef, the servers and the hosts. It is as comfortable as being in your own home and as refined as being in a high end city venue. The lobster roll is my favorite dish, I have to push myself to enjoy a variety because I never want to miss out on enjoying it. We hosted our son's wedding reception and everyone was amazing at supporting our vision and executing a lifetime joyous memory. The only reason I 4 starred the service was because the bartender was rude and difficult to work with during our event. She had insulted many guests, including myself. She makes an amazing cocktail, sadly it is served with a sour twist.
We have chosen Hudson House River Inn for years as a perfect Special occasion getaway. There are nearly more reasons than I can list for why it's such a perfect situation for happy times; It is Ideally located from the Train, Riverfront Water views, historic, charming, cozy and elegant. There is a professional and welcoming environment, personal yet discreet and unpressured hospitality. Perfectly Updated bathrooms and electrical systems in the maintained look of it's old world charm with live music and a warm fireplace by the cocktail bar. The menu and chef in the dining room would be certainly reason enough to make it a favorite. Last Thanksgiving, we stayed and had one of the best experiences ever. I'm from New England and have lived all over the world but nothing could be nicer than the holiday meal designed and served by the fun and cheerful staff in the dining room (which has gorgeous views of the River). Clearly the Servers appreciate knowing they're serving great food in a Uniquely beautiful place. We also went for a special birthday weekend and nothing could be nicer than coming down to the sun filled breakfast room for a relaxing and delicious start to the day. I'm delighted to endorse such a perfect spot to take in the charm of Cold Spring and enjoy the historic elegance and truly enjoyable dining experiences we've been so fortunate to have here. Hudson House River Inn is an absolute Diamond with my highest recommendation for it's historical charm, elegance and cuisine.
Had an amazing Mother's Day at the Hudson House River Inn! The fixed menu had great options, and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly. You really can’t beat the location either, right on the Hudson River in beautiful Cold Spring. Hats off to the staff for making the day so special. Such a memorable experience!
